Meet Eddy Ruben: A Dance Maestro with a Passion for Movement Hola, amigos! I’m Eddy Ruben, a proud Dominican whose heart beats to the rhythm of dance. From the colorful streets of Santo Domingo to the vibrant dance floors of Spain, my journey in the world of dance has been nothing short of magical. It all started back home in the Dominican Republic, where I immersed myself in the rich tapestry of our folklore. Weekend classes with local legends fueled my passion for dance, setting the stage for what was to come. Fast forward to a serendipitous night in Benidorm, Spain, on December 12, 1992. Amidst the neon lights and pulsating beats of "Habana Club," destiny came knocking. A chance encounter led to an opportunity to turn my passion into a profession. From that moment on, I was hooked. For six unforgettable years, I dazzled dance floors and hearts alike, honing my skills as a dancer, leader, and teacher. As the rhythm of life led me to "Pub Winston," where I shared the joy of salsa, merengue, and bachata with eager learners. Then, fate intervened once more when I met Lucia Alonso. Together, we turned a dream into reality and opened the doors of "Conuco Caribe" on April 8, 1998. Nestled in the heart of Benidorm, it quickly became the epitome of Latin music and dance in Costa Blanca. For five exhilarating years, I poured my heart and soul into "Conuco Caribe," nurturing a thriving dance academy with over 200 students. However, the pulsating pace took its toll, prompting a pivotal decision. In 2003, I bid farewell to the nightclub scene, choosing to focus on my true passion: teaching. With over three decades of experience, I’ve dedicated myself to unlocking the hidden potential within each dancer, guiding them on a journey of self-discovery through movement. Join me as we dance through life, one step at a time. Whether you’re a beginner taking your first timid steps or a seasoned dancer seeking new heights, together, we’ll create magic on the dance floor. Let’s dance, dream, and discover together. ¡Vamos!
